Term 3 - Britain at War

During the Spring term, the project in Year 6 is 'Britain at War' where we learn about the events of World War 1 and 2. Before half term, we focus on the build up to both wars as well as what life was like in the trenches. We look at different political influences and the role of propaganda. One of our favourite lessons is designing our own propaganda posters and coming up with catchy slogans. Take a look at our Knowledge Mat below to find out more!

In English, we draw inspiration from the books "One Boy's War" and "When the Sky Falls" to think about the language and attitude of people during war time.
