Term 1 - Dynamic Dynasties

This half-term we are learning about the exciting ancient Chinese civilisation: The Shang Dynasty. We start by learning the location of the Shang Dynasty as well as it time in history. We learn about their social hierarchy and the importance that family played in their lives. We spend time examining the archeological evidence and learn more about how historians establish what happened in history. We then take inspiration from Chinese lettering and art to create our own pieces.

A highlight of our term is our residential trip to Kilvrough. We develop our team work and have great fun climbing, caving and body-boarding!
