Teacher Vacancy


St Nicolas CE School is friendly, vibrant school set in spacious grounds. Our pupils enjoy all aspects of school life and enjoy a wide range of experiences. We have a committed and hardworking staff and a supportive community of parents/carers and governors.


We are looking to recruit for September a permanent part time (0.6) Reception Teacher to join our very successful team in providing a high quality and creative educational experience for our pupils. We are offering a fantastic opportunity to work with a supportive team of skilled educational professionals in a community driven environment.


Career progression and CPD is encouraged and valued. We are passionate about providing the very best education that we can for every child.  We have high expectations of the children and plan lessons that will ensure that pupils are inspired, enjoy their learning, experience challenge and success and achieve highly.

We are looking for a teacher with an excellent knowledge of Early Years practice or an NQT with some Early Years’ experience, who is:


  • Committed to delivering inspirational learning
  • Creative in their approach to children's learning
  • Familiar with the learning journey from the Early Years Foundation Stage to Year 1
  • Knowledgeable and skilled in teaching the current Early Years curriculum
  • Enthusiastic and dedicated to enabling every child to fulfil their potential
  • Friendly and able to form strong relationships with the whole learning community
  • Has a growth mind-set and is committed to continuing professional development
  • Able to share and support our nurturing, caring ethos and reach out to parents in a positive, warm manner
  • Is committed to team work and contributing to the wider life of the school
  • Able to set and achieve high standards and expectations of learning, behaviour and care
  • Someone who enjoys taking a full part in the wider life of the school
